Special Events and Campaigns
Holiday Magic Drive
It’s Holiday Magic time, and we’re in full swing with our campaign to spread holiday cheer. For many of the children, youth and families we serve, the holidays can be a sobering reminder of the instability, food insecurity and struggles they face every day. But with your support, we can make the holidays as bright and happy as possible by providing gifts for thousands of children and teens and Thanksgiving meals for the families who care for them. Together, we can ensure that every child in our care receives gifts that are meaningful to them and bring a sense of joy, belonging and normalcy to their holidays. There are four ways you can brighten the holidays for our children and youth. Learn how.
Foster Parent Informational Session
Foster families are some of the most extraordinary people in our community — your friends and neighbors who open their hearts and homes to the many children every year who suffer abuse or neglect. Join them and give a child a safe play to stay. Take an active role in their life and contribute to their health and well-being each day with guidance and support. Are you interested in learning more? Join us for an informational session and get answers to all of your questions from professionals in the field, like foster parents, adoptive parents, and licensing and adoption experts. For the health and safety of our community, all foster parent information sessions have been moved to a virtual platform through Facebook Live. If you are thinking of becoming a foster parent, join us to get all your questions answered. For additional information or to RSVP, please contact 321-752-4650, ext. 3031, or foster@fpocf.org, or see our foster care FAQs.
Caregiver Information Session and Orientation
Caregiver information sessions are held the second Tuesday of each month. We look forward to meeting with our caregivers and providing information that will assist them in navigating our system of care. We have an online support group that meets the second Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8 p.m. Join this private caregiver support group on Facebook: www.facebook.com/groups/320585139069097. For additional information or to RSVP, please contact\ 321-752-4650, ext. 3082, or silvia.perez@fpocf.org.
