Make a Difference
Your Support Can Change a Child’s Life
Your support makes all the difference to our community’s children and teens by directly contributing to their safety, permanency and well-being. And there are many ways to give — one or more donations, monthly, or through planned gifts. No matter the frequency or method, your generosity shows our children and families their community cares about them.
Our Impact Areas
Family Partnerships of Central Florida provides and manages a wide range of services and resources designed to address the many factors that contribute to the well-being of our community’s children and families. Your donation to Family Partnerships Foundation directly supports the following priorities.
PREVENTION — $1,000
We provide support and programs that strengthen families so children can remain safely at home. We focus on a family’s food and housing resources, mental and physical health, education, finances, safety, and more. Your gifts meet needs like day care for a single working mother on a waiting list for subsidized childcare, one month’s rent for a family experiencing the possibility of eviction, and summer camps for at-risk youth. Every $1 spent on prevention saves $9 in funding for foster care.
IN-CARE SUPPORT — $500
We help our children and youth feel less displaced and achieve a sense of normalcy as they enter and experience foster care. Your gifts help foster families afford things like extracurricular activities that promote a sense of belonging, bedding and other essentials that help children feel more comfortable in their foster home, and educational opportunities that keep children and teens from falling behind academically.
INDEPENDENT LIVING — $250
When our youth transition from our system of care, we help them become thriving, independent adults. Your gifts purchase supplies, like laptops and tablets, that help young adults pursue their educational goals, household items that bridge the gap between life in care and life on their own, and ride-share gift cards or bus passes that help young adults get to jobs and school.
Family Partnerships Campaigns
In addition to our impact areas, the foundation coordinates several community engagement drives and fundraisers each year to provide additional support for our children and families.
HOLIDAY MAGIC GIFT DRIVE — $150
For many of our children and families, the holidays can be a reminder of the instability, food insecurity and struggles they experience every day. But together, we can make their holidays brighter in a big, magical way. Your support provides gifts for thousands of children and holiday meals for them and those who care for them. You can also participate by fulfilling wish lists for one or more children or sponsoring a gift drive. To fulfill wish lists or sponsor a drive, please email community.relations@fpocf.org.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE — $100
A new school year comes with many emotions — excitement, hope, anxiety. For kids in foster care, these emotions are often heightened, especially if they’re facing unfamiliar classmates, teachers and routines. Your support helps them feel confident and prepared by giving them the tools they need to be successful from day one.
GIFT DRIVES — $75
Gifts for our children and families can only be provided through community support. If you have a special idea you would like us to fulfill, such as a birthday party or gifts recognizing special days for a child in foster care, let us know. We’ll be happy to celebrate this act of giving with you. Please email community.relations@fpocf.org for details.
