Wraparound Approach
Our teams and partner providers each focus on specific priorities, allowing us to be more productive and intentional within our specialties. But we all work together toward one mission: protecting children, strengthening families and changing lives.
Each piece is vital to the operation as a whole, creating an approach that wraps around children and parents to provide the support and services they need. Our teams maximize each other’s strengths, making a more significant impact on our community’s children and families.
We provide foster care and support, adoption, independent living, and community outreach services to children and families in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Within that scope, our Family Allies division and case management and independent living teams care for children and youth in out-of-home care. Throughout its history, the agency has consistently ranked among the top-performing community-based care agencies in Florida regarding visits to children and families, timely reunification, and exceeding federal measures for placement stability.
We also work to strengthen families, while ensuring the safety of their children. Our diversion and prevention services in Brevard County, known as CARES, and those in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, reduce the number of children entering the foster care system through the reduction of circumstances that lead to abuse. These programs are family-centered, strength-based and community driven, and with their expansion over the years, we have seen fewer children experiencing the system and more families becoming stronger and staying together.
And in 2014, Family Partnerships launched The National Center for Innovation and Excellence to serve as the research, training and technical assistance arm of the agency. By advancing best and evidence-based practices, system reform initiatives, and high-fidelity wraparound, the NCFIE cadre of resources, services, training and consultation promote the establishment and sustainability of family-driven systems of care in the United States and Canada.
