MELBOURNE, FL – May 19, 2010 – Brevard Family Partnership, Brevard County’s lead child welfare agency welcomed chief financial officers from community based care agencies across Florida, today, for the start of an annual conference that will run through May 21.

Taking place at the Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront hotel, the three-day conference will focus on areas of fiduciary responsibilities that include best-practices among agencies and the latest financial regulations and processes.  Attendees also will learn from experts how to better communicate with and manage the personnel within their financial departments.  The event also provides an opportunity for peer-to-peer networking.  New this year, the conference also features tracks for agency CEOs and contract managers that will provide opportunities for those individuals to discuss current issues and collaborate on solutions to agency and client challenges.

Participants will attend sessions hosted by experts in the areas of accounting, child welfare, contract management and human relations, from organizations such as Wipfli, LLCJames Moore & Co., CPA, and Clarity Works! Consulting.  The keynote address will be presented by Ms. Barbara Palmer, the new Assistant Secretary for Administration for the Florida Department of Children and Families.
