Mentoring Opportunities

Why Mentorship Matters

Young people in Foster Care face unique challenges- but with the steady support of a mentor, they can build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

About the program

Our mentoring initiative is a voluntary service that matches supportive adult mentors (age 25 and older) with youth in foster care between the ages of 13 and 23. These young people live in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard counties. Our mentees are looking for someone who can support and motivate them—and above all, be a consistent friend and cheerleader. As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to teach life skills, be a role model, and create meaningful new experiences together.

Become a Mentor

If you are ready to show up for a young person, we want to hear from you. Mentors are the heart of our program. Whether you are new to mentoring or have experience, we provide training and support. We ask that you commit at least 4 hours per month to meet face-to-face with your mentee and commit at least 6 months to them to build a trusting relationship.
