Foster Care
Children in our community who have been removed from their homes need a safe, loving, temporary place to call home while their family situation is stabilized. Family Partnerships of Central Florida meets that need by managing comprehensive foster care services for our kids. But we need more loving adults who are willing to open their hearts and homes to a child in foster care.
On any given day in Florida, there are approximately 10,000 children in foster care. Throughout our Central Florida region, hundreds have been removed from their families due to abuse, neglect or abandonment and are in need of caring foster homes. These children represent all races and ethnicities and range in age from birth to 17. While most will return home to their parents, some will be adopted by a forever family.
When you foster a child, you are fostering their future, making a priceless difference in that child’s life.
Protecting children and strengthening families is the responsibility of every member of our community. While not everyone can be a foster parent, we can all contribute in some way to help a child or family in need. Learn about the other ways you can help.
