Quality Parenting Initiative
The Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) ensures that every child removed from their home due to abandonment, abuse, or neglect is cared for by a foster family. These foster parents provide skilled, nurturing parenting while helping them maintain connections with their biological family.
Guardian Ad Litem
A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) is a volunteer appointed by the court to represent the best interests of a child in dependency cases that usually involve suspected neglect or abuse. Unlike other court participants with multiple responsibilities, GAL volunteers are there to think of the child first.
