Family Partnerships President and CEO Phil Scarpelli was honored at a Melbourne Chamber of Commerce event July 18 for his longtime dedication as a public servant. At a breakfast held at the Joseph Pellicano Law Enforcement Center in Melbourne, Scarpelli was recognized for his more than 30 years of work in the child-welfare field, along with other community hero awardees. The event was held as part of the Chamber’s weeklong celebration of heroes in law enforcement, the military and first responders, nonprofits, healthcare and education. Accepting on behalf of Scarpelli was LaChrista Jones (pictured left), director of Community Development and Engagement.
