Rep. Sandy Adams (FL-24) announced today that Intervention Services, Inc. (ISI) of Orlando was selected as Florida’s 24th District Angels in Adoption™ winner for 2012. Representatives of ISI and BFP traveled to Washington, D.C. this week to participate in the awards ceremony and take part in the events honoring adoption heroes from around the country. The Angels in Adoption™ program is sponsored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to raising awareness about the millions of children around the world in need of safe and loving homes, and to eliminating the barriers that too often hinder these children from realizing their basic right to a family.
“Intervention Services performs amazing work with young people throughout Central Florida,” said Adams. “Whether it is adoption services, foster care placement, or mental health counseling, they understand that helping children make the transition into a loving home requires a holistic approach to care. These dedicated individuals have impacted the lives of hundreds of children, bringing families together and helping transition young men and women into happy and stable homes. I applaud them for their great work throughout Central Florida and am proud to have nominated them as the 2012 Angels in Adoption™ honoree for Florida’s 24th District.”
