MELBOURNE, Fla. – May 21, 2015 – Tracy Little, Wraparound Fidelity Coordinator for Brevard Family Partnership, recently received the prestigious Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) award for his innovative leadership in the field of child welfare.
The CAP award, presented by the Child Abuse Prevention Task Force, recognizes an individual who has dedicated their life to the prevention of child abuse, and who has continually gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of children.
“Through his commitment, dedication, and perseverance, Tracy supports and educates families to become stronger through care coordination, and sees the potential every child, youth, and family possesses. He is an excellent model of how one person can truly make a difference in someone’s life,” explains Dr. Patricia Nellius, Brevard Family Partnership’s CEO.
The Child Abuse Prevention Task Force of Brevard County has been working to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect in our community since 1996.
The Task Force works collaboratively with its member organizations to coordinate, cooperate, and promote prevention of child abuse and neglect through community awareness and education. The mission of the Child Abuse Prevention Task Force of Brevard County is to develop a coordinated and comprehensive approach for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in the County and promote community awareness and education.
The Task Force plans and coordinates activities for Child Abuse Prevention Month each April, solicits nominations and selects recipients for the annual Child Abuse Prevention awards, and co-hosts Brevard’s annual CAP Awards banquet. In addition, the Task Force has a speakers’ bureau available for community meetings, and coordinates prevention awareness presentations at various community events.
